Digital MARKETING

Digital Marketing built for how people find businesses now

From the phone book to AI Answers

When Brooks Advertising opened in 1991, getting found meant being in the Yellow Pages. Then it meant a website. Then you had to rank on Google, and now, a little more each month, it means the AI-written answer sitting where the ten blue links used to be. We've moved clients through every one of these shifts without losing them along the way.
‍
The names change. The job doesn't: be where your customers look, in the form they're looking in, saying something worth finding.

Websites, SEO, SEM, PPC, content, social, email, and the lead generation and reporting behind them, run as one plan by the same agency that buys your airtime and designs your brand.

why one agency

Channels that should feed each other, working blind

Here's the pattern that shows up in nearly every audit we run. The search work is chasing keywords the ad data already proved don't sell. Meanwhile the ad budget is buying clicks on terms the site ranks first for anyway. Both are being done competently, and neither can see the other, so the money cancels itself out.

Under one plan that stops. Paid search tells you inside two weeks which words and messages actually produce buyers, so organic stops guessing. Once organic owns a search outright, paid stops paying for it. The same people plan your search spend and your radio, television and outdoor, so the budget gets settled in one conversation rather than four that never get scheduled.

And if digital isn't the thing holding you back, you'll hear that first. Diagnosis before prescription is the rule for the whole shop, not a policy this department invented.

services

Everything a digital marketing agency does. You won't need all of it.

What you use depends on what's already working for you and who you already have. No one pays for anything their plan doesn't call for.
Full sites, landing pages, and the testing that keeps going after launch.

Fast to load, and clear enough that nobody has to work out what you sell. Strategy, design and development run together instead of passing work between them, and the branding it's built on comes from Creative.

The result is a site that earns its traffic rather than one that simply exists.

SEO & AI Search

Technical work, on-page structure, your Google Business Profile, and the AI summaries that now answer people before they ever reach a link.

The searches we go after are the ones people make with a decision already half made, not the ones that look impressive in a report.

Those positions get earned slowly and they hold, which is the opposite of how the old game paid out.

SEM & PPC

Paid search, shopping, display, and remarketing put you in front of people on the day they start looking.

We manage against cost per lead, because a cheap click that never becomes a customer is just a cheaper way to lose money.

Someone reviews the account in real time and shifts spend toward whatever is producing real inquiries.

Content

One team writes all of it: site copy, ads, emails, articles, and the scripts behind your video.

That means the promise made in an ad is the one waiting on the landing page, in the same voice, from people who know why it was made in the first place.

No one has to translate between four freelancers who never met.

Reputation & Reviews

Getting reviews asked for consistently and answered properly, month after month.

For a local business this is often the highest-return work available and the least interesting to sell, which is why you rarely hear an agency bring it up first.

It also lifts you in map results, so what customers say and where you appear improve at the same time.
We shoot broadcast and streaming spots, plus YouTube pre-roll, channel video, vertical cuts for social media Shorts and Reels.

Animation and live action, scripted and edited here, then placed against the media we buy for you.

Social Media

Organic posting, paid social, and the community management in between.

We build the calendar, run the paid side, and put budget behind whatever earns attention on its own.

All done in your voice with the high quality design we're known for.

Email

The one audience no one can take away from you.

Campaigns, automated sequences, and the list growth feeding them, written by the same people who wrote the site so the voice survives the trip from click to inbox.

Growth, CRM & Reporting

Lead capture, CRM, automation, e-commerce, and reporting a person can read.

Every lead traces back to where it came from, and once a month you get the analysis in plain sentences rather than a slide of charts. One dashboard, open to you the rest of the time.

pricing

What this costs, before you call anyone

Most agencies make you sit through a discovery call to find out whether you can afford them. Here are the numbers.

TWO OR THREE SERVICES
$2,500-$5,000/month

A focused plan, run properly. Where most small businesses end up once the diagnosis is written.

FOUR SERVICES & ABOVE
$5,000+/month

Competitive markets, or heavy production. Ad spend sits on top of this; that money goes to the platforms, not to us.

IN-HOUSE MARKETING
$1,200+/month

A different product, not a smaller one. Same team, fixed price, built for businesses that want marketing handled without a full program.

A rough sanity check before you talk to anyone, us included: the SBA's long-standing guideline is 7–8% of gross revenue for businesses under $5 million, and plenty of small businesses spend less, often 3–5%. At 3–5% on a million dollars of revenue, that's about $2,500–$4,200 a month, and roughly half of it should go to the work rather than the media.

What it looks like when it works

Four businesses that were already spending the money, had someone doing the work, and could not tell you what any of it was returning. None of them increased a budget. What changed was what the money was pointed at, and in every case we increased their business.

A regional service company was ranking for their own name and nothing else, while a competitor owned the map pack for every service they wanted. Their Google Business Profile hadn't been touched in two years and they had 11 reviews while the competitor had 340. We rebuilt the profile, put a review request into the invoice that goes out at the end of every job, and answered every review that arrived, including the bad ones. Nine months later they held the map pack in three of their four service areas and calls from search are up 82%.

A med spa was running $8,000 a month on Meta/Google and came to us when they decided to double their budget to $16,000. We proposed a budget of $2,000. Their ads were fine. The lead form required 7 fields to be filled out and no one was answering the phone after 4PM, so a budget increase would have bought more of the same leaks. Fixing the intake cost less than one month of the increase they came looking to spend. Their booked consults went from 34 a month to 71 on a quarter of the spend. They are in their third year with us.

A chiropractor had bought radio through one company and Google Ads through another for four years. Neither had seen the other's numbers, and no one had ever asked them to. We put the two reports side by side. The radio ads talked about wellness and posture correction. The search data said the people ready to book were typing "car accident chiropractor" at eleven o'clock at night. Search had already proved which words made a person pick up the phone. So we rewrote the ads around the things people were actually looking for. Auto injury. Sciatica. Numb hands. Same voice, same stations, same total dollars. Branded searches went from 140 a month to 390. New patients went from 21 a month to 38. Cost per new patient, measured across radio and search together instead of one at a time, fell from $143 to $79.

A CPA client was getting 90 leads a month at $22 per lead and losing money on nearly all of them. The ads ranked for "tax preparation near me," which in March fills the phone with people who want a 1040 done for $180 and will not be back in April. The clients she actually wanted were not searching in March. They were searching in October, and they were asking about S-corp elections, quarterly estimates and whether to put a spouse on payroll. So, we moved most of the budget out of tax season and into the fall, and rewrote everything around those questions. Leads dropped to 34 a month and cost $61 each. Business clients went from 3 a month to 14, and the average engagement went from $400 of seasonal work to $6,200 a year on retainer.

HOW IT STARTS

Two days. Three problems. No invoice.

Someone on our side goes through the site and writes back with three specific problems and what to do about each within two business days.

02 WEEKS 1-2

The diagnostic

We get into your analytics, your search rankings, your ad accounts and the site itself. What you get is written and plain: what's losing money right now, what's already working and underfunded, and the order we'd fix things in.

03 FIRST 30 DAYS

The plan

How many services you need is a conclusion, not a starting point, so we don't put a monthly number on anything until the diagnosis has told us what it is. Most businesses land on two or three services. Competitive markets and heavier production run higher.

04 ONGOING

The work

Work goes out every month and the budget follows whatever is converting. Every quarter we put the plan back against your revenue, and anything flat gets cut—our own work included, which is the part most agencies leave out of that sentence.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

We already have someone handling marketing. What happens to them?
They keep their job and usually enjoy it more. Most of the people doing marketing at a small business are doing it on top of another role, or covering six channels alone. We take the disciplines they can't cover, hand them a plan instead of a guess, and leave them the work they're genuinely good at. We've never proposed replacing anyone, and an agency that pitches you on firing your staff is selling itself, not solving anything.
What do your digital marketing services include?
Websites and landing pages, SEO including local and AI search, SEM and PPC across search, shopping, display and remarketing, plus reputation and review work, content, video and YouTube, social, email, and growth work like lead capture, CRM and reporting—planned and run as one plan. Creative, media buying and PR are available from the same agency, but you only buy what the plan calls for.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No, and neither can anyone else. Google's own guidance is to walk away from a company that promises one. What you get instead is a written plan with checkpoints you can hold us to, and reporting tied to leads and revenue rather than positions on a chart.
How long until we see results?
Paid search produces data in days and qualified leads inside the first month. SEO shows early movement in 60–90 days and meaningful contribution somewhere between four and eight months. Anyone promising page one in 30 days is selling something that won't survive the next algorithm update.
I spent a lot on marketing before and got nothing. Why would this be different?
Usually because nobody wrote down what a good lead was before the money started moving. Without that, the agency optimizes for whatever it can measure, you judge them on revenue, and both sides are right and unhappy. The diagnostic exists to settle that definition first. And the first step here costs nothing, so you can find out what we notice before you find out what we charge.
How much does it cost?
There's no one size fits all plan. Usually people spend $2,500–$5,000 a month. Multi-channel plans run $5,000–$15,000. Both figures exclude ad spend, which goes to the platforms rather than to us. Defined projects like a site build are quoted flat after the diagnostic. If a full plan isn't the right size, In-House Marketing starts at $1,200 a month.
Who owns our accounts and data?
You do, from the first day. Analytics, ad accounts and dashboards stay in your name with your own access. Whoever controls your data controls your ability to leave, and you shouldn't hand that to anyone, us included.
How long have you been doing this?
Since 1991. That covers the shift from the phone book to websites, from websites to search, and from search to the AI answers now sitting above the results. We've moved clients through each one without losing them in the transition, which is the main argument for hiring an agency that has seen more than one.
