She was already winning when she walked away
By 1990, Brenda Brooks had won a national award for raising sales over 15% for a regional Subway franchise group, during a stretch when the brand was adding stores faster than almost any other in the country. She had also earned her place as a partner at one of Arkansas's top agencies.
As the agency grew, her partner wanted to scale one way and she believed in another. Meanwhile, client servicing was slipping through the cracks and to Brenda, that was reason enough to change course.
So in 1991 Brenda left and built Brooks Advertising, the agency she had been arguing for.
It has run on the same principle ever since: the best we have, for every client, every time.

The average client-agency relationship lasts around three years. Ours have run longer than some of our competitors have existed. Thirty-five years is not a milestone we're marking, it's the only proof that exists for the things you can't check before you sign.
Anyone can win an account. Keeping one requires the parts of an agency you cannot evaluate in a pitch. We have been doing that since 1991, through every channel that has come and gone since.
Most of what we do today didn't exist when we opened. We rebuilt around all of it. Understanding businesses, creating work that deserves to run, and saying what doesn't work has held since 1991 and it holds now.
